Frequently asked questions

How do I add a goal?

Open the app and tap the add button on the main screen, then give your goal a name and pick an icon. Your new goal appears on the radar.

What is a focus record?

A focus record marks the time you spend focusing on a goal. Focus Radar uses your records to show how your attention is distributed across your goals on the radar.

How do tasks work?

Tasks let you break a goal down into smaller items so you can track concrete things you want to get done within that goal.

Can I use my own photo as a goal icon?

Yes — custom photo icons are part of Focus Radar Plus. When you choose a photo, it is copied into the app on your device and resized; it is never uploaded anywhere. See the Privacy Policy for details.

What is Focus Radar Plus?

Focus Radar Plus is a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks additional features, including more goals and custom photo icons. The free version lets you create up to three goals.

I bought Focus Radar Plus on another device — how do I get it back?

Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID. On the new device, use Restore Purchases in the app’s settings, signed in with the same Apple ID you used to buy it. Apple handles the purchase; I never see your payment details.

Where is my data stored? Is it backed up?

Everything you create stays on your device. There is no account and no cloud sync. If you have iCloud Backup or encrypted device backups enabled, your Focus Radar data may be included in those Apple-managed backups. See the Privacy Policy.

How do I export or delete my data?

• Export: In Settings → Export Data, you can export all your goals, records, and tasks as CSV files bundled in a ZIP and share them via the system share sheet.
• Delete: Deleting goals, records, or tasks in the app removes them from your device. Uninstalling Focus Radar removes all of its local data.

Does the app work offline?

Yes. Focus Radar works fully offline. The only network communication is between your device and Apple’s App Store to complete or restore a purchase.

Does Focus Radar send notifications?

No. The app does not send push notifications, does not schedule local notifications, and does not request notification permissions.
